Are HSK "A" form tool holders compatible with the HSK "E" form Spindles?
Yes, an "A" form with notches in the taper has no problem going into am "E" form spindle. However an "A" form spindle cannot accept an "E" form tool holder because the taper must have the drive notches. Of course the size must be the same. An HSK63 tool holder cannot fit into an HSK50 spindle, and vice versa.
